If he was born in 1736, it's a bit unlikely that he was married for the first time in 1780.
Are you sure you're not missing a generation?

I am trying to find out more about William Whitehead. He lived In Bugbrooke Northamptonshire, was married to mary Sharman in 1780, had 2 girls, Amy and Elizabeth in 1790 and 1792 (what about between marriage 1780 first child1790 seems a long gap, maybe there were others) I got that info from freereg. He died in Bugbrooke in 1805 aged 69. I've looked on find my past, freereg, familysearch but cannot find his birth. I would love to know who his parents were. Are there any other resources I could look on. There was also a George Whitehead living in Bugbrooke who died aged 71 in 1812. I wonder if William and george were brothers. Are there any other online resources? Is there any way I can find more information apart from trying to get to the records office?
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
Chris
