When you say "not at school when the census was taken", does that mean it was a boarding school?
If it was a day school, then all the pupils would be registered at their home addresses.
If it was a day school:
On Ancestry, search the 1911 census, not putting anything in the name boxes; YOB 1901 +/-5 (or whatever the age range of pupils would have been); "Lived in" Rolvenden: Keyword - "scholar" or "school". Leave everything else blank.
Other genealogy sites will have different ways of doing it.
That should bring up most, if not all, of those children attending school at that time, and presumably they went to the local school..
