On the 28th ult. highly respected, aged 60, Bateman Bigg, Esq. of Stansfield, Suffolk.

Yes, the Mary Bigg who was daughter of Edmund Bigg and Mary Prior died the next month (19 Feb 1754).
A relative spent 100s of pounds in the 1980s trying to track down the origins of the Mary Bigg who married Thomas Missen.
That is still the great unknown in my ancestry research!
I am coming over to England with my wife next month and am spending three days at the Bury St Edmund Records Office--don't hold out too much hope of discovering the answer.

My Thomas Missen who married Mary Bigg is the son of James Missen and Amy Chapman.
