thanks for all the help you are quite right in what you say about finding all these old records
anyway I have been able to fill in a few dates in my tree

onward and upward !!!! forever
a visit to frodsham libary is calling me

With respect - you are extremely fortunate to find the early parish records that you do have.

You do have to bear in mind that the paper/parchment written on over 400 years ago could have been lost, destroyed or damaged so badly that it is illegible. In additional only a fraction of surviving records from that time have been transcribed on to the internet.

You never know - something may appear!

www.familysearch.org-Indexes of births and baptisms, 1538-1975; marriages, 1538-1973, deaths and burials 1538-1991 for all of England. Images available for Cornwall, Kent, Norfolk, and some for Cheshire, Durham, Lancashire and Yorkshire

thats right they are his dates of birth and death he was married to a joane modesley she was born 1550 died 1618 i think they had one son called william born 1574 I hope that that helps a bit all were born in frodsham cheshire
