can anybody help i am looking for the death of a charles stuart born 1883 in langholm county of dumfriess his fathers name was peter stuart born 1846 in roxburgh melrose and his mothers name was isabelle born 1851 her maiden name was ferguson on the 1911 census they lived in langholm

Yes that his him he was my mother in laws father when Jessie got married in 1975 she has got on her marriage certificate the he was deceased thank you for that it was kind of you to look it up as far as I no he did not marry her mother Jamaica crone she married a Gavin ritchie

On Jessie's birth certificate it is spelt Stuart for his last name

Did the birth certificate give an occupation for Charles?

Yes it says a carter what ever that is

His address is 2 Albert place langholm

Is he on the 1911 census with Isabella and where is Isabella in 1891 and 1901. I can't view the images to see if Peter is shown as married or a widower.

I have got it down that Isabella died in 1886 not sure if this is correct

So, is the 1911 census for Charles?

There is death for an Isabella Stuart, maiden name Ferguson, in Langholm or Staplegorton (this is one district name) in 1886 - only the death cert will confirm if she is the one married to Peter.
