Thank you everyone for your help. Sorry, I missed the message with all three deaths on initially Now I will be able to find the cause of death of these children
I have been to Birmingham to see the spot where they were buried but sadly the graves are no longer there but I was able to leave flowers for each of them also for their father ,my grandfather , who died the following year.

Eileen - only order from the following site:

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp

Each cert will cost you £9.25 whereas other sites may charge you uo to £40 !!!!!!

Go to the site and follow the instructions - you will need to give the registration district, which Quarter of the year, volume No. and page No. - tick to say you have these when asked.

All of these details you can find on the info given to you above.

Come back if you have any problems.

Dea x

P.S. - I note that you have also started a thread on the mother of these children - it is always best to keep to just the one thread when dealing with the same family as this saves people on here duplicating the same research - It is always easier when we have all the info on the same family together.

You may not have known of her middle names Eileen but the deaths shown above are for all three of the children you mentioned with the correct names and ages, at the correct time and in the right area.

Surely, they MUST be the ones you are looking for??

The family are in the King's Norton Registration District in the 1911 census so the King's Norton deaths are most likely the ones.

The King's Norton death is the only one I can see.

I was searching in Staffordshire but the county is given as Worcestershire at that time.

Hello Kathleen,
Thankyou for your reply but I don't think this is the Nancy I am looking for. She died aged 6, her brother Charles aged 5 and Eric just a few months. Their father died th following year leaving just my father Arthur and my grandmother. Regards Eileen

KathleenBell Report 4 Mar 2014 11:09

Could it be this one? :-

Name: JONES, Female (unnamed)
Registration district: Stone
County: Staffordshire
Year of registration: 1911
Quarter of registration: Apr-May-Jun
Age at death: 0
Volume no: 6B
Page no: 21

I know this was registered BEFORE the birth but that sometimes happened if a child died very young. You have to register a death within a few days but you have 6 weeks to register a birth so sometimes the death is registered before the birth.

The birth was actually registered with this spelling:-

Name: JONES, Nancie
Registration district: Stone
County: Staffordshire
Year of registration: 1905
Quarter of registration: Jul-Aug-Sep
Mother's maiden name: Not available before 1911 Q3
Volume no: 6B
Page no: 33

EDIT - No, please ignore this as that birth was of a child under 1 year old.

Do you know the children's parent's names?

The three of them died within two months of each other in 1911 leaving only my father Arthur 1908 and I am looking for the cause of death. Please can anyone help. Many thanks, Eileen
