hi, please can someone help? My ancestor Sidney mark Twilley, born Middlesbrough 1894/5 died in Middlesbrough in 1918. When I have completed the search it states there is one military record (at the left hand side) but when I click on this it says no record found. I have access to all records so not sure what's happening. |

His death cert will give cause of death which may indicate he served in WW1 |

Thanks folks, I have gained birth, death and census information from genes but it also had on the left hand side (where births etc can be filtered) one item under military. When I click into this it then says no record. I also thought due to his age and the first world war his death may be linked. I had to give one year leeway to gain his death information. Thanks again |

For BMD info between 1837 and approx 1955, you would probably do better to use freebmd...............it's FREE, as the name suggests |

The original of the 1911 is quite interesting it says that his mother Harriet Elizabeth is a widow, who has had 8 children 4 living, Harriet, Susannah, Alfred and Sidney and that the 4 that died were all boys. They were travelling showman, caterers, living in two "living wagons' |

After 1911, when the MMN was added to the index, only the initial(s) of forename(s) other than the first one are recorded |

yes, Tenerife sun it is very interesting. I've found no link previous to this census with travellers or show people although we were always told my Dads parents were. I have found descendants of the remaining son still living in caravans on a winter site. |
