Hi everyone out there ! Ive been looking for my gg grandmother. I have a copy of the marriage certificate to Herbert William gillis. Her fathers name was William Green. I cannot find a birth cert and I have no name at all for her mother. Selina was born about 1884 presumably in London. I would love to know if selina had brothers or sisters and whether her mum was a Londoner . The marriage certificate is dated 22 july 1905 .So if there is anyone out there that can find any information I would be really greatfull. :-)

Unfortunately it isn't able to help us with Selina, however it's worthwhile noting them just incase you didn't have them. As I'm sure you know he died in September 1915.

The Gillis children seem to be named after the Gillis family, all apart from young Selina and Mary.

Hello everyone that has been so kind in helping me find out more about selina green. To answer some questions that you have asked me . Selina lived in New square Horselydown. There is not a occupation listed on the marriage certificate for her. Her father was listed as a wood cutter ? witnesses where listed as M Gillis (which I have no idea who this is ) the other was a Stephen or steffen j carroll again no idea . again thanks for all your help :-D

Pancras is given again as William snrs birth place, albeit 10 years older than the 1911 census, however it can't be ruled out! We have no further Selina evidence, so could Selina have actually been Elenor on the 1891 census?? And were William snr and Margaret the parents in 1891 or could Jane have been a single mother??
