Hi everyone,
I have some great news! :-D
Deceased Online is now available on annual subscription for £89.

Unfortunatly I can't take up this brilliant offer (skint) . :-(

It may be too soon...Does anyobody know of a library or Archive Centre that has taken up the subscription?

Kind regards,

Angela

Why is a charge of £89 p.a. so brilliant?

A genuine question.................

Hi Reggie,
I'm not happy about the price either. I don't have that kind of money to spend.
It's just the fact that it's now available on subscription.
If you are like me and have lots of records to look up it will save you loads of money.

If I can get it done for free at a Library or Archive, then I'm there.

I'm all for saving money :-)

Annual subscriptions now available
Now there’s a cheaper way to access large numbers of records

We are delighted to announce the launch of Deceased Online ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS.

A subscription will allow you to access most of our records for a year in unlimited numbers for a modest payment of £89. We have had to exclude a few record types from subscriptions on the grounds of cost: maps (on which we sometimes have to pay royalties) and whole-cemetery headstone collections. If you wish to access these, you can still do so by purchasing pay-per-view vouchers.

Hi Angela

I guess if you have lots of records to access it might be worth the sub.

I still think it's expensive, comparable to WW records at places such as Ancestry and FMP

If a member takes up the sub and is offering look ups, that's great for all of us

:-)

I did purchase credits once and some also lapsed when there were probably more I could of found....but run out of time

But would not pay that much just to look for burials

If I was going to take out another annual sub apart from Ancestry and FMP I would prefer it to be with Seax (Essex records) as I am sure that would be more beneficial to me

I think the value would depend upon the coverage of your areas of interests. For example they have good coverage of Angus County which I have found helpful but Perthshire and Lanarkshire would help me so much more.
