It's rather a common name to be sure, but there's this one. Father is a contractors ?? - note the 5 month old brother George. |

It looks like the family is correct, they are on the ERs together, him with Eliza until 1923, then with Alice. By 1936 Fredrick & Richard Tindall are with them, and in 1937 Alfred Stonebridge as well, address 3 Hogarth Place, Chiswick. |

Thanks everyone. I guess they wanted to keep middleage at bay. Is it possible to find Alice with parents? One of the witnesses was an S Smith. |

If this is the right Alice (seems so going by her brother's name) then she too was older than stated on the marriage certificate: |

There is a tree on ancestry has lots of photos of him and family, lists both his wives and has correct birth year for him (1879). |

Ed, have you looked on the 1911 census to see which of the 2 ladies George might have married? |

I have a marriage cert for George and Alice and would like to trace them back to their parents please. They were married 22 Nov 1924 Brentford Mdx. George was 33 (1891) and a widower. His occupation was Tiler. Father was Thomas Stonebridge(deceased) and a housepainter..Alice was 31(1893) and a widow. Her father was Henry Smith and a general carman. There is a possible marriage on freebmd for Alice to William Arthur Tindall Dec 1905 Brentford and a death for William 1921 Brentford. There is also a marriage on freebmd for George to either Emma Golding or Eliza Thompson Jun 1903 Brentford. |
