Find Ancestors

Hi there,

I am trying to work back over from two baptisms.

My ancestor Prudence Fulwood married Joseph Heathcock in 1788 in Dudley, Worcestershire and died there in 1826 aged 59, so born c. 1767

I have looked for a baptism and there is one in 1766 and 1769 in Dudley ... both with different parents. I understand that they are probably cousins, but is there a way to confirm this? (Found on the IGI)

No not really

I suppose if you could find family members as witness's it may help.....but even those could be cousins

Any chance that a FULWOOD family member left a Will stating for example.......to my niece Prudence, now the wife of Joseph HEATHCOCK, a tailor of ( wherever) ?

You might have to follow forward in time for both of the baptisms and then hopefully age at death or other clues will lead you back to the correct ancestor.
