Have hopefully sent a PM with Boer War service details attached.

I see his weight remained constant over the years - O how I wish!!!

Wonder why James b October 1900 doesn't get as mention on the Boer War Army forms if Dad didn't sign on until February 1901?

FMP has Boer War records Flip, sorry had not refreshed before sending my last message so didn't see your question - am hung up on the children!

EDIT - Have just rechecked 1911 census where it definitely says Kathleen aged 4 - I posted a possible Registration of a Kate Elizabeth in 1907 Gateshead earlier. But Flip's Army records for William say she was born 1910.

So with James b 1900 and not acknowledged on the Boer war records and

only 3 children born to the marriageon 1911 census but 4 named over the 1901/11 census - I'm confused.

I think they got the birth year wrong for Kathleen - it should be 1907 and the birth for Kate Elizabeth looks right. It states she was baptised in 1910. This looks like her death:

Kathleen Caldwell
Birth Date:6 Jan 1907
Date of Registration:Jan 1986
Age at Death:79
Registration district:Gateshead
Inferred County:Durham
Volume:2
Page:12

This death is also registered as Kate Elizabeth Caldwell.
