Thanks Catherine, love the 1 that says she died in California, I know alot of the trees have made up information & are wrong. Wonder where they got the info that they made the journey from Surrey to Bucks. Just need to get it confirmed before I can break this wall down. My ancester is their son Thomas, then Thomas's daughter Esther made the journey from Bucks to Hunts. |

Hi Gins, thanks, I found that on the tree, I suppose I assumed (wrongly) that he was born in Bucks. Just need it confirming the tree info is right & not just made up to fit. |

Can anyone find a marriage between Thomas Govier & Hester Sumner around 1780-1800. There is a public tree on Ancestry with this pair on, says they were both born @ 1761 in Horseleydown St John, Bermondsey, Surrey, England but both died in Oakley, Bucks. The tree says Hester died 1800 (no date) & Thomas died 7/1/1837. I have been trying to find this pair for a long time but never had a surname for Hester. I have found 1 of their children Thomas Govier born 31/7/1796 Oakley, Bucks. Not a member of Ancestry but found the tree when on Ancestry at the Library. |
