1891 and 1901 both give Aberdeen as place of birth

What is the occupation of his father on the marriage cert ?

Definitely born Aberdeen and moved to Jarrow by 1891.....looks like you need "Scotland's people"..

Have you found him on 1901 and 1891 census

Thomas was born, we believe, in Aberdeen, Scotland although on the 1911 census he states Jarrow, England (where he had now moved to).
He married Eliza Porter in 1891 (cert held)
He died in 1924 (cert held)
Would like help in finding his birth details as so far no luck.
From his marriage certificate his father's name was John however I do not know his mother's name.
Thomas is my great grandfather and would like to be able to research further back.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
