I have researched the Hill -Cole family
The son is down as Chas will also William henry the father was still alive in 1911
according to my grand fathers marriage certificate in dec 1911
his father was deceased

On one of the trees which has William henry son of William Henry and Mary Ellen nee Cole it states William's dad was deceased at time of his marriage.
1881 census Mary Ellen Hile (Hill) with mum Susan.

Mary E 1 Devon
No William Henry Hill.

I have been looking for the place of birth of my grandfather for six years
date of birth 1877-1878 William henry Hill
I have his marriage 26th December 1911 Plymouth Devon age 34 a bachelor he is a fisherman he is not on the 1911 census
married Mary Ann Hannaford (second marriage) nee Williams
she is on the 1911 census with her three children moon st Plymouth
I have bought many birth certificates only to have the wrong father
who's name is also William henry I have looked on most sites.
I am at at a lost what to do! any help would be gratefully received
