Beeston Burials

Whilst researching my friends family tree I found that they lived in Beeston and prior this, Hucknall.
If they died in Beeston they would have been buried in Beeston Cemetery aft. 1887 and prior to this, I believe it would have been St. John the Baptist.
Can anyone confirm this, add any extra churches or even offer any burial grounds/grave yards for Hucknall?
Finding out where they were buried could give me information that I really need.
Many thanks!

Google for the info......that is what we would do

I've done this already but someone may know if people who lived in Beeston chose to buried elsewhere due to cemeteries being full or some areas being less 'desired for'.

This may not fit with your dates - and you must have found it yourself, anyway:

Anyone can be buried anywhere not just where they lived.
Nottingham Archives has St John's Beeston Records burials go up 1936 on fiche and has the original Registers covering years 1964-1967. If you give me the names and dates I can have a look for you.
As for Beeston Cemetery you will need to get in touch with Broxtowe Council and see if they will do a search for you.

I've checked through all of the listed sites, today and previously.
Thums isn't a common surname, it'd flash up rather quickly.
I am experienced in Genealogy, just not in the area of burials.
Wendy, I got in touch with the council today and they look for six people for free and then charge £35.00 thereafter. They found four names out of the five that I gave them. If you could find anyone under the surname of Thums I'd be grateful.
Thanks for the help so far.

Hi Christopher,

That's good that they found 4 for you for free Nottingham Council don't do any for free so well done.

I'll have a look at the church records next time I'm in the archives maybe tomorrow if not then Friday.

All the best
