Find Ancestors

Hi I am trying to find the parents names and family details of a William Bradnam Steed born abt 1817 Ridgewell area of Suffolk. I do not need details for this William only his parents
I have a copy of William's marriage cert he married Sarah Coote 30/10/1839 Stansfield, Suffolk
On this cert fathers name is given as James Steed and he was working as a Painter.
I cannot as yet find James Steed (painter) on any census so he may have died? pre 1841
William b Steed is given as also a Painter and being from Clare area of Suffolk.

William Bradman Steed baptised 5/9/1819 died London 1861
1841/51 he was a plumber.

info from ancestry tree says his parents were William 1796-1873 and Elizabeth nee Foskue 1798-1884.
