Has anyone any info on Sophia[e] Sarah Jaggers born Barking Essex 1898. Her parents were William and Sophia.I have her on the 1911 census but after that I can find nothing.I believe she married and was in the Land Army .Any help appreciated

As Sophia's birth was registered in the Jan/Feb/March qr of 1898, she can't be either the Chapman or Hitching ladies above.

Just as she may have married abroad, so she may have died abroad.

Now, I can't see this young lady on the 1911 census so I'm wondering if this is actually Emily off the 1911 census? Looks like she married Charles Roast and died in 1947.

Thanks for trying -Yes May and Daniel were Sophia siblings and I have details of all of them excepting Sophia so I am a bit stuck

You say that Sophia married and was reported to be in the land army, was this from a relative? Is there anything else that you may know, any other snippet of info may help even if you feel it to be not true.

Yes ,Her brother was Daniel my father in law who drew up a family tree before he died.All it has on it is that she was married [no spouse given] ,had two children and was in the Land Army.As their mother and father died when they were children I got the impression that the younger children were farmed out to relatives after their father died in 1913 and so they could have lost touch with one another I have even looked for a marriage in Scotland with no luck..What a puzzle! Did your FIL say if the children were boys or girls?

If it were me and I was looking for her I think I would order her birth. Cert so you have her exact DOB, I can see she was registered the 1st quarter, so she could have been born late 1897.
