I'm trying to fill in the family of Mary Jane Elcoat, baptised 25 Dec 1858 in Ayton, North Yorkshire. Her parents were John Elcoat c1823, possibly Skelton in Cleveland and Jane Bradley, the marriage taking place in 1853. Other children I have found baptisms for were Thomas, 1855, John Henry, 1856, and David 1862. In 1871, Mary was in service in Middlesbrough. Where were the rest of her family? Where was her mother born? Can you find the family in 1861? All assistance appreciated. |
