Married to Albert Richard Searle 1942 - have certificate -no children he was much older. Then ?? Death Albert R Searle Birth Date: abt 1876 Date of Registration: Dec 1956 Age at Death: 80 Registration District: Devon Central Inferred County: Devon Volume: 7a Page: 279 ? marraige Margaret Searle Spouse Surname: Cox Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1957 Registration District: Devon Central Inferred County: Devonshire Volume Number: 7a Page Number: 821 Margaret Cox Birth Date: 22 May 1907 Date of Registration: Jun 1976 Age at Death: 69 Registration District: Exeter Inferred County: Devon Volume: 21 Page: 1216 NAME: Francis John Cox BIRTH: 2 Oct 1907 DEATH: Mar 1985 - Exeter, Devon, England looks pretty likely as same DOB but tenuous! if I ordered Margaret Cox death will it say Cox,previously Searle or Sargent on it? not ordered a multiple before! just want to confirm it. thanks for any help

	Not usually It will usually say wife or widow of and the husbands name

	The marriage certs though should name her father which you can cross check with her birth

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 3 141 Send Message	yes thanks Shirley - i have her birth cert -its just 1920 onwards which ahs been a puzzle -but do seem to be getting somewhere. ironically it looks likely she grew up in the same city as my grandad and they probably never knew each other existed! sad really- he always longed for family. off to order the 2nd marriage (hopefully!) thanks

	The death cert should show her maiden name......and place of birth, assuming the informant knew those details

	Wasn't sure when that started to be added but boggling gives the date as 1 April 1969

	Dea :-D Yep it is lol I missed the iPad auto spelling correction stupid thing it is but can be helpful too so although I switched it off. I reset it back again :-(
