Hi,

If anyone has a world subscription to FMP that covers Ireland, I would be very grateful if they could look up the details of my great uncle's will.

Wills up to 1917 have been transcribed and are available online for free elsewhere, but not 1918 as yet.

My great uncle was Charles Moore:

MOORE, CHARLES
Place of birth
CASHEL, CO. TIPPERARY
Rank
PRIVATE
Service No.
43035
Mil. Unit
1ST ROYAL DUBLIN FUSILIERS
Commemoration
OUTTERSTEENE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, BAILLEUL
Reference
II. D. 24.
Date of death
Fri Sep 06 1918

He was born in 1897 in Cashel, Co Tipperary, the son of William Moore and wife Margaret/Maggie, nee Phelan.

If anyone could give me the details, I would be very grateful. My own subscription does not cover the Irish records.

Thank you for your time.

EDIT : I should have stated more clearly, it was the WWI Irish soldiers will collection I meant.

Thank you for that MarieCeleste - most of them were just the soldier's basic pocket book wills. The National Archives of Ireland did have images of the wills up to 1917, but those dated 1918-1922 are not yet released online.

At least I know I'm not missing anything!

Thank you very much for looking.

Thank you Sue for that information.

In the light of what MarieCeleste has said, as there is little information contained in the will, I shall wait until the Irish National Archives release the images of wills for 1918-1922, which is scheduled for some time later this year, and will be free to view.

I appreciate your efforts on my behalf.

I shouldn't think that site has the actual will

They had scans of the earlier ones, not very legible as they were blue for some reason, but given the fact Charles seems to have just done a one liner leaving everything to Maggie, that will be enough for me.
