I am looking for info on Edith Short nee Marson who I believe was related to my Mum through the Marson name.
I would be grateful for any help, I believe Edith's mothers maiden name was either Gent or Cant. I have searched quite a bit myself.

Thank you all for the info I will check dates which seem possible, the difficulty I have is the Marsons I am looking at came from Flintham Notts and I can,t seem to marry the two families together but I know they are related as Edith Short was my Mums cousin.

Can you give the names of your Mum's parents? We could then perhaps find the connection for you.

Although Edith M. Marson was born in Derbyshire, she married Fred Short in Nottinghamshire so the family could have moved to Nottinghamshire.

As rootgatherer has already said, if you give us your mother's parent's names we might be able to find a connection to Edith's parents.

Hi everyone
My mothers parents are Mary Elizabeth Marson born 1886 Thurgaton Notts and George Sharp born1891 Fosters booth Northamptonshire, I have their parents records also and I know the Marsons were from Flintham Notts back as far as the 1841 census but I cannot find the connection to Edith which is why I was asking for help.
