Thank you all so much.
I think Elizabeth weeks is right. A birth date for William of 22.feb 1762 makes him 28yrs. at marriage?
The St John Zachary Richard May could well be William's brother, making that family first cousins of my lot. It ties in with the Bawtree family story.
Dolby was a butcher and so was a John May . at 2 Beaucham Street Brooks Market. (Both original records on line with details to view.)
I will add it to my tree like that, with all the references given. Perhaps it will be found by another May. Once that is done I will sort out the threads.

I am looking for william may living around brooks market in holborn above the bars during 1790 to 1809, when he died. His children were william thomas 1792, james, john, mary, dolby thomas1799, henry, elizabeth, richard 1805 and william james 1807.
I do not know where father william was born or his exact birth date, or siblings.
Dolby thomas was a butcher with the freedom of the city of london, by reasonof birth and so was his father. William senior was registered jn 1794. Please help .thanks rosalind.
