Maybe her mum remarried so she is listed on some census in the hubby's surname

I AM TRYING TO PUT A FAMILY TREE TOGETHER AND WOULD LOVE TO SPEAK TO ANYONE ELSE RESEARCHING MY FATHERS PARENTS OR MY FATHER.

MY DAD IS : THOMAS RICHARD HEAD 1889 AND HE WAS BORN IN DARTFORD ENGLAND.
HIS FATHER WAS ALSO THOMAS RICHARD HEAD BORN IN 1865 IN DARTFORD ENGLAND.
HIS MOTHER WAS MARY ANN CARROLL OR MARYANN PHILLIPS BORN IN 1861 IN ENGLAND.SHE DIED IN CANADA.

ON MARY ANN'S DEATH CERTIFICATE IT STATES HER FATHER AS BEING PHILLIPS BUT NO FIRST NAME AND MOTHER AS UNKNOWN. ON HER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE IT STATES HER MAIDEN NAME AS BEING PHILLIPS.
ON A COUPLE OF CENCUS IT STATES HER MAIDEN NAME AS BEING CARROLL.VERY CONFUSING .
