Hi everyone I have a puzzle that I need help with please.
I have a George Fredrick Sims b1821 Colchester in my tree.
I can find him up to and including the 1861 census but after that I cannot find him. No death no marriage nothing. Can anyone find out what happened to him please ?
On the 1861 census he is living with his married sister and family at33 bank street cheetahs Manchester the household is as follows
Joseph Solomon head 36 jeweller born Warsaw

Isaac Solomon son 10 born Ashton
Eli Solomon son 8 born Wigan
Sarah Solomon daughter 7 born Wigan

On the 1871 census the Solomon family have moved to Hanley and there is no sign of George F Sims.

I don't think this is him because this man seems to have been in New York from 1860

There are lots of George F Sims in different parts of america, but no way to tell who they are.

Unless your man has died, he could well have emigrated as I can't see him in England later on

Thank you certainly food for thought
The both details are correct but I do not think hope went to America. He did have family in Australia but I have nothing to suggest he went there.
I have a family bible and all family members have been registered in it up to the late 1800 s but only georges both and baptism are recorded nothing else
Thank you again for your input

(Death above looks to relate to above, quite a bit on newspapers relating to Murder at Smythesdale, also on google)
