hi dea no i dont know if he married i did find a Marriage for a james henry perkins in 1909 doncaster but my james did not have a middle name thank you for your help yes that may be him in the workhouse

The more I look, the more I think that the one in the Workhouse in 1911 is 'your' James.

There was only one James Perkins registered in Dudley at that time and I cannot see one who was born in Doncaster.

The only other 'possible' birth would be for this one:

Bear in mind that if he was admitted into the workhouse infirmary and no-one was with him, it could have been assumed that he was born locally and recorded as such.

The James entered above him in the workhouse may well not have any connection to him as they were all recorded alphabetically so he would obviously show next to any other Perkins'.

Do you know if he ever married or when he died as there is this death recorded in Doncaster later in the year?

Well, this is the family on 1911 but James is not with them and father James has become 'Thomas' - It says he is a 'Glass Hand but crippled' (crossed out)

his name james perkins born 1885 in Dudley, Worcestershire son of thomas perkins and rose Hannah jackson they moved to doncaster as they had a daughter in 1892 in doncaster her name was martha perkins

It says he was born in Doncaster and that he was epileptic. There is also another James Perkins on the line above him who is 62 and widowed and formerly a Railway Platelayer (?) born in Lincolnshire. Possibly his father?
