been looking for many years for information regarding my great grandmothers aunt Rosa who was born 1872 Martley ,Worcestershire 1901 census working as servant to a Mr McCrosty in Esher ,1911 back at Martley with father but apparently she then worked as housekeeper for Lady Brocklebank in Cromwell rd London, I have been unable to prove or disprove this but apparently she got a position of housemaid for her great niece who was born 1916 apparently Irene was between 15 and 17 when she worked here. This would be around the dates of 1930-1935ish. Apparently she never married but we are unable to find any death for her. Any help or hint in the right direction would be greatly appreciated |

There are various deaths for 'Rosa Robinson' born 1871/1873 after 1930 around the country. |

There is a Lady Robinson living on Cromwell Road, 1904/1914 and beyond, but not Brocklebank? |

thank you for you replies, will look at the Guinness Trust one Patchem, and yes that is our Rosa Rootgatherer we have that info already, it is after she goes to London that I cant find .....Irene who passed away a month or so ago was the great niece who was given the job in the same householdas Rosa , her son has little info (have just found in the last 6 months) apparently his mother always said she worked for lady brocklebank in cromwell st.with her auntie Rosa...my great grandmother always said " she worked for royalty",wish I had started this when my great grandmother was alive may have had a better chance of finding her. |

On the probate for both the Brocklehursts the address given is Nunsmere Sandiway, Cheshire although neither of them died at that address. It looks like the have had more than one residence? Do you know where your ancestors worked? |

Apparently London and the address that Irene said was Cromwell Road but I have searched and never found any evidence of them living here. |

Thank you patchem made note of that will read it in more depth later, just found that Lady Grace Mary Brocklebank died at 31 Queens gate Kensington which is just off Cromwell road so that looks promising will see where that takes me and if it leads me a little closer to our elusive Rosa Robinson. |
