Can't think why someone would send info like that by pm instead of just posting on here? |
|||
|
Solar | Report | 30 Dec 2013 13:12 |
Thank you for this. The pm said they had a possible link on their own tree and just copied for me what they had noted on their own tree but had got no further with the line. |

This info does seem to tie in. Is anyone free to see if they can find any later census reports for Ann or her children. With thanks |

Because the youngest son on that 1851 has a distinctive middle name thought I'd see what was available |

Ann, which of the families on the 1851 do you believe to be the correct one to follow? John & Annis or the Ann on her own? |

John Shaw born c1810 Cheshire. Believe he married a Anne Etchells on 11.8.1929 in Ashton Under Lyne. Found this entry on Familysearch.org |

I think John might have died before that, just my opinion but I think if he'd died after the conception of Thomas then he would be named (marked as deceased) on the baptism - or at the very least Ann would be noted as widow. As there's a 10 year gap between Thomas and John Edward I'd suspect Thomas was the issue of a later relationship (perhaps with a Mr Holden?) |

Yes that is possible then, his child before this was as you list above John Edward Shaw 1839 so John could have died anytime between 1838 and 1849 then. Have you been able to find Baptism records for any of the other children at all? |

No, not the others I'm afraid. The two youngest lads were easy because they were Lancs whereas the older ones were Cheshire. |
