I have Joseph Marsh in the 1901 & 1911 census in Yorkshire with wife Elizabeth and children Agnes,Thomas & Emanuel, but i can not pin point him in earlier census. He married Elizabeth in 1881, before 1881 census, trying to find father etc.

The 1911 census posted above says he was born in Gornall, Staffordshire, not Yorkshire.

There are at least 2 Joseph Marsh's born in Gornall, Staffs. You need the marriage certificate.

Thanks Penny I mistakenly thought Joseph was born in Yorkshire not Staffs I did not have full census and believed they were all from Yorkshire

Is this too much of a coincidence? Joseph b Dudley - about 2 miles from Gornell, "Lucy" is from Nottingham as per Elizabeth and they are in Featherstone.
