Hello
Some wonderful members on this site has helped me trace family members from the Liverpool area in New South Wales from the early and mid 1900's..

I am looking for cemetery information or headstone information for

William Campbell died 1922 death Rookwood Aslyum (from NSW BDM)
and his wife
Mary Campbell died 7 April 1932 buried in the Independant Section at Rookwood Cemetery (from her Obituary -Trove)

Unfortunately the search feature on the cemetery website has been down for days and appears to no longer work. Might someone have CD's.

Also shipping records for William and Mary Campbell and an infant son (John or William) who arrived either Sydney or Newcastle in 1877.

Many thanks and merry xmas to all.

Thanks Jude those certainly are the correct bdm indices from which I've based my search for cemetery information. I'm hopeful someone may have the better search skills than me. Merry Xmas and thanks for your reply to my post.

Hi Kaye,

When you search the Independant Cemetery no William Campbell comes up in the searches.

There are only 3 Campbell's which come up and one of them is a Robert.

Found Mary Campbell in section K in dependant section buried 8 April 1932. Is there anyone in Rookwood New South Wales that may be able to visit this cemetery and advise what is on the headstone, big ask I know, thought I would ask just in case. Thank you.

With William Campbell dying 1922 at Rookwood Asylum state hospital I wonder where bodies were buried. I'm yet to find out if he was a hospital patient or in fact in the asylum. I haven't been able to find a death notice either?

Would the DC say where he was buried? Just a thought.

There are a number of results for 'Rockwood Asylum state hospital' . Have you looked at all of them to see if you can get permission to view his records?
