Find Ancestors

thanks MC, I have everything else about her - the family were extremely easy to trace, originally from Woolstone and East and West Hanney in Berkshire - all the Breakspears here in Cardiff are related.

My Gt.Grandfather Daniel was caught poaching rabbits - a hanging offence at the time apparently, so he and Louisa fled to Wales - Bridgend first. I wondered why Bridgend, and then digging around found a neighbour of theirs had married a girl from Bridgend so assume she must have said they should go to her family - their first child was born in Bridgend and then they moved to this area and had another three including Nellie.

Often wonder how they got to Bridgend from Berkshire - walked I suppose

freebmd is very simple to use

Put in just the surnames when looking for a marriage

She missed out her second name on her marriage plus she was reg at birth as slightly diff spelling

All you need to do is click on Marriages... put Breakspear in the Surname box......and Richards in the Spouse/Mothers Surname box........put in the date range and click Search.....

and Bob's your Uncle!!
