Find Ancestors

Hi I'm new to this and have very little information about my grandmother. Her name was Agnes Dawson she came from Newcastle. On 19/6/1932 she had a son called Anthony who was taken to live with his fathers family in Glasgow when he was about 3 years old. He doesn't remember her but would like to find out more about her life and her family. I would appreciate any information that might help

My grandfather was Charles McGoldrick. Anthony is my dad. He was originally Anthony Dawson. Later changed to McGouldrick. - no one knows why the u was added to the surname.

No sorry Maureen, Agnes is not on my tree, I found the info on Ancestry....It was a guess from your surname which I followed up on...

The reason I ask for Agnes's age when Anthony was born, we may be able to pin point her in 1911 census...

Don't have her date of birth. If I get the marriage certificate then her fathers name I might be able to trace his children from there. I just have to find out how to buy the marriage certificate. From your information I now know how to check the Ancestry for other relatives. I'm still at the stage of speaking to aunts, uncles and cousins to fill in details of living relatives. I can already see why people get so involved in this
