Going back to the 1911 census....it states that John and Elizabeth have 3 children living and yet 4 living children appear on the census.

On the 1901 census........there is a Margaret Vest age 15 who does not appear with John and Elizabeth in 1891.

There does not appear to be a Margaret Vest on the 1891 census.......only a Meggie Vest who appear as the Grandchild of Anthony and Susan.

It seems to me that John Vest took on his brother Ralph's daughter as his own.

You're quite correct Prickles. I saw the name Roseby and thought there can't be 2 of them so didn't look at the years of birth. Obviously there are 2 Rosebys at least in the family.

Basic mistake, but therein lies a lesson. <3

Still no Frederick with them though.
