i am looking for france haffner hamilton, b 1826c in hanover square london, she married oswald moseley b 1817 cheshire, i now have his family but i cannot find hers, oswald and frances married and lived in congelton/ congleton cheshire where he was a solicitor..

Ancestry shows the Baptism (see post by safc above) Father Charles Foster Hamilton is recorded as a Brushmaker of St Lukes Parish. Frances recorded as born 11 November 1829 1851 census transcription details for: 15, Greek Street, Saint Anne Soho, Westminster

If correct, then Frances is still at home in 1851 (1841 shows a Franc I s aged 18, b 1823)

The Lancs Marriage index you refer to in your first posting above only gives the initial H Reggie, not a full name. I'm very sorry that I tried working on safc's suggestion to "prove" that it was or wasn't the correct person. I thought the idea was to prove/disprove information, but no doubt I'm wrong about that too! And that's why I didn't bother copying it all over to the other thread. Enough said - hopefully.
