Member Since: October 2012 Posts: 2 Send Message	My family can be traced back to Kenneth Mclean born 1752 probably in Scotland and Jane Wilkinson born 1757 in Yorkshire. They married in Loftus or Lofthouse as it was then known in North Yorkshire. I would be interested if anyone else has a McLean family tree starting around that time and then spreading throughout the North East and further South. There were strong links to the Earl of Zetland and the local Alum mine and later to the Earls land holdings in Scotland.
