Choccy, has William's age also been mistranscribed? I think it should be 86?

Being dragged out by the dogs - will be back in about 1 hour.

Looking at the image, it is actually impossible to determine how old either of them is.............the ages have both been crossed through with the enumerator's mark

........and she died before the age was added to the index.

Reggie, the image is missing on Ancestry , that's why I asked for a lookup on the image. Ancestry's transcription gives the ages as: William,86, and Ann, 81 - which is where I got my YOB from. The are also on the 1851 with YOB 1777 and 1782 (mis-transcribed as Madgate).

It was the relationship I wanted checking as somebody as them in a tree as the parents of one of my 2nd great grandmothers, so I wanted to make sure the relationship given in 1851 (siblings) was the same in 1861.

Choccy/Reggie - see you have found the other censuses - two mistranscriptions of the same name - it's a wonder we ever find anything..

Not sure about James - my great grandmother may have been the grand-daughter of a James Fladgate (or Fludgate or Floodgate!) but the one you posted would be too young.

At least now I can be sure that the tree on Ancestry has the wrong parents.
