Thank you very much Astra.
I knew it was them.

Whilst you were finding this, I also searched on SP ( without purchase) and found the name was indeed LEE.
I suspect that the transcriber has followed another surname through the census page, resulting in Kirkwood!

It has taken 4yrs to find this family.
Richard was married twice.
Janet is his daughter from his 1st marrige and will be 15yrs old.
I only discovered today that there was a daughter called Annie born from his 2nd marriage to Mary, simply because I stumled upon the girl's marriage.
In Bradford,Yorkshire!!

Thanks Gin,
Yes I found those records yesterday.
Also the 1901 marrige of her half sister Janet in Keighley, and the potential death of their father, Richard Lee in Keighley 1919.
4 year search now put to bed. Woohoo!

Thank you Gin and Chris,
I did find Richard in Burnley at 1901. His wife and younger daughter were found in Bradford and his elder daughter was married and living in Keighley

Finally,......you found them
1911:
That's my man and his wife in Burnley.

Odd how this often happens isn't it?
Years of sporadic searches turn up with ... Zero.
Yesterday, I was looking for a potential marrige for daughter Janet, but spotted the one for Annie Agnes Grant Lee.
Good old Scottish traditions at play here.... because even although I never knew that the girl existed, I knew immediately that she was their daughter.
The mother/wife had the maiden name of Mary Grant and her mother was.. Agnes!
Richard's mother was Janet ( name given to the older girl) and his grandmother was Annie

Thankies to you both XX
