1881 scotland census

I am trying to find this family in 1881 census.
I have the 1891 and 1871 info
John MacKay b. 1830 Rosskeen and his wife Mary MacKay b. 1846 Lochcarron (both MacKays)
m. 1880 Lochcarron ... John is dead by 1891
daughter Annie McLeod MacKay b. 1878 Dundee (illegit)?
other kids born between 1881 and 1891 at Fodderty...
Annie is in the 1891 census in Fodderty... with mother Mary and other
siblings... cannot find her in 1901 as she probably married by then...
Tried McKay... MacKay...
was on Scotlandspeople.. did not see a marriage for Annie McLeod MacKay or a death...
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello Andrew... don't think you have the right family...

other kids were Donald and Christina both born 1881
Duncan b. 1886
all born Fodderty..
mother Mary is still alive in 1891 census

1892 FRASER JAMES MCKAY ANNIE FODDERTY /ROSS AND CROMARTY 065/00 0002

EDIT: Well, Donald's wife Annie was born 1874 Dingwall, per 1901 census.

She will only be 14 at the time of the marriage in 1892...

This must be Annie in 1881, per Ancestry.
Presumably her mother & stepfather are listed with her - have to check on SP.

EDIT: Yes, John, age 52, carpenter, born Rosskeen. Wife Mary, age 32, born Lochcarron. No other children.

Don't know where Christina McLennan comes into it, GB - she's not on the image! Not even in a neighbouring household.

Ancestry's transcriptions often leave a lot to be desired.
