OK I'm stuck, Bernard (1831-1898) is my maternal 2 Gt Grandfather, he married Annie (1835-?), both were from Ireland, at some stage in the 1850s they moved to Hull as the children I have recorded to them were all born in Hull between 1853 and 1873, however, I have only found them thus far as early back as the 1871 census, were they are mistranscribed as Boyce. I have no marriage record for them or know where they came from in Ireland, I am assuming they were Catholic, children are John, Mary (my Gt Grandfmother), Hugh, Catherine, Ellen, Annie, Thomas and Bernard. If anyone has any information on this family I would be most interested in hearing from you.

MarieCeleste ... thanks, yes he is misrecorded, also in a later census Annie is listed as Mary and Hugh's age is also wrong, so with all the errors within the census records I;ve uncovered so far is making it really hard work :-(

I have emailed the people with all matching entries on Genes to no avail.
