Thank you so much. I live in the south so to far away to visit , and I don't have other relatives north of the bordr. Mine barely moved out of London.

Thank you so much. I did try Scots people but found it difficult to follow
Could I ask one more favour? Her marriage to D Mackenzie, I think that nust also have been in Scotland Probably some time before 1956

Scottish birth records are available to purchase via Scotlands People.

Unfortunately, there is also a 100 yr embargo on births and this can only be purchased at a charge of £10 or £12.
The certificate id sent by post.
Alternatively it can be viewed ( not printed) by visiting one of the SP centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Kilmarnock

However, it is possible to manipulate the site to get a bit of an idea..... .
