Ed, thank you so much for your input. I was unaware of this very useful OCFA site.

Yes, the Harty there listed is my fellow; he died 55 years ago this Monday coming (2nd).
Some of his family are buried there, too. Apparently, Harty decided to 'come home'.

Warm Regards,

Barry

Go to the OCFA site. There is a Morden, Harty Wilson grave shown in Glenwood Cemetery, Hallowell Twp, Prince Edward Co, Ontario. Maybe yours??

Thank you for your input, MGNV, superb information from you, as always.

I did find Harty's 1921 presence on Ancestry but I could not see the image.
I am more than disappointed the Government of Canada has chosen to pass this recently released data to Ancestry so we can subscribe to see it. (What do we pay our taxes for, I wonder?).
Previous Canadian data - to my knowledge - has been readily available for all to view freely!

I do have his 1930 marriage certificate as you kindly note.

Thank you very much for the heads-up regarding his whereabouts in 1945.
This new information confirms he and his wife are alive in 1945.
As I said some years ago, I have been unable to find their death entries in BC.
There is always the possibility they ventured once more back to Ontario for their final days.

Perhaps one day .... perhaps.

Many thanks once again.

Barry

FYI: 1921 (with images) is free right now via:
http://search.ancestry.ca/search/db.aspx?dbid=8991
Oddly enough, it's not free at all Ancestry sites.

A search at http://search-collections.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/Genealogy/BasicSearch
gets the m.cert for the 1930 marr you mentioned in your 2008 post. (I suspect you've already seen this image.)

A quick search at
http://www.vpl.ca/bccd/index.php
gets him in Victoria in 1945.

Thank you kindly, Gins, for your help.
I have sent you a PM.

Margee, many thanks indeed for the link; I do have the info noted on there, however.

You might care to read my blurb halfway down (or up!) on page 3 from 22 May 2008:

http://www.genesreunited.co.za/boards/board/ancestors/thread/1042484?page=2

I believe I have all about Harty that is available..
I have only found him on one census as a youngster in 1891 with his widowed mother
Per the 1921 census he was a banker. Years before he served in the army he was a bank manager for RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) in Vancouver, BC.
As everyone else in his family has all but passed, as I believe, only his older sister in the USA survived into the early 1900s.

Thanks for taking the trouble to look, however,
It is much appreciated.

Have a lovely weekend.

Do you know he was a soldier in WW1? There are 3 sets of attestation papers here:
