Hi all…just found a newspaper clipping (minus the date) :( It states David Lord born 1889 Halifax, Yorkshire was travelling to Canada with his young with and child. They were aboard the Metagama. David died aboard the ship from pneumonia en route and was varied at sea. Is there anyway to get anymore info on this.
Cheers all and many thanks Jo

Can't see what happened to David's wife or child after their arrival in Canada - they are not with any of the 3 brothers in 1921 - maybe they returned to England but can't see them on the passenger lists.

Thanks Flip, I wasn't yet aware of more Lords coming to Canada. My Mom has not talked about them. The James M Lord listed above I don't have him at all and thinking he could be a cousin. George H. Lord had a brother James Edward Lord born 1882 in Halifax, Yorkshire.
Thanks so much for your assistance
Cheers..

In 1921, John W is mistranscribed as John H - quite understandably. Their addy is S22 T2 R11 EPM.
Menisino Sec. 36, Twp. 1, R. 10, EPM - 1910-05-01 So John is 5m NE of Menisino and just 10m from the Minnesota border.
