I am researching my husband's family history and wondered if anyone is also researching William Speller born 1808 married to Elizabeth Searle. thank you Margaret Speller.

Hello Margaret, to find out if anyone else is researching the same people you need to use the Search Members Trees facility under the Search menu above right.

Hi Margaret, I saw your post on the other thread regarding the marriage certificate for William Speller and Elizabeth Searle.

Is this the couple with sons Frederick b.1840 and James b.1843? If so, the 1851 census shows that Elizabeth and her children were all born in Bilericay.

The 1841 census show that their first child, William, was born around 1831. So they probably got married before marriages were registered in 1837.

The Essex Archives may be able to help you to go back further with this family.

Thank you all for all your hard work, my apologies for repeating my requests, it was not intended, life sometimes get in the way of Family History, and I started from scratch again. Shall move on !! :-S

(we would like to help Margaret, just trying to see which James went with which William, as there are a couple of families on the go!, one in Great Burstead, the other in Theydon Garnon, was the Cert. you got, one of the below?, sometimes it is best to start from scratch, 'the wood from the trees' can then become clearer, hopefully!)
