peter I can understand your problem,my husbands g grandfather put his father name as Benjamin on his marriage cert,only problem is that his father was Samuel.
all the records verify this so who knows why he did this,it is so annoying.

No Holly, not a waste - all of my threads ask very specific questions.

Many years ago I used to one thread for the same family (i.e. looking at siblings, and even cousins etc), which the inclusion of these two threads would suggest is the best way to manage this. I was told that was the wrong way to do it, hence why since then, I have always started a new thread.

A lot of the information on these threads, although I am VERY grateful for it, does not pertain to my initial question, hence why it seems the threads are often more closely related than they actually are.

So, no, I don't think it is a waste of member's time at all.

Roy, no can't see a SUSPECTED Anthony Reed SNR on the 1841 census or 1851 census - can you? Is that what you mean?

And yes Shirely, I am sure the census for Anthony are for Mary's brother. However, is the baptism in 1813 in Yarm correct for her when her marriage certificate so obviously contradicts that?

What do you think? I just don't want to go down the wrong line.
