Reggie , Thats true, was my thoughts too. It was Charlie who told us, but he would never say much about it, as I said unhappy time for him.
I only assumed he was in Wales at that time as he is not on the census will family
Sadly now all gone, the last one died last month at age 102.

You say he was 'sent to Wales'.......... someone told you that..............but didn't give you dates or location.

So he may not have gone there as early as 1911..........................

Not him, but what a suprise, as he moved to that area in 1936, and he used Burnt Oak station every day to travel into the city to work, right up till retiring in 1967 Also myself and my children were all born there!
But he was in Wales.

Than k you Reggie. In that case it is not the right one. He did go to Wales. , It is a pity we never asked more about it. I don't think he was happy there, as he was made to be a bookies runner, and was always a very reserved person. Probably not put on a census?

On b irth Cert he is Arthur Charles born 22/01/1902, at 11 Halton Road Islington
1911 census family at 23 Warren Street Islington (where they stayed) . He was the eldest son. Mother Louisa and Father Leopold and 3 siblings . As I said Charlie was sent to wales, that's all we really know Problem we don't know where in Wales
It would be nice to complete the picture, for my grand children

Trying to find Arthur Charles Johnson born 22/1/1902. Maybe Charles (Known By)
Born in Islington London I have the family , but can't find where he was at the time. Was told he was sent to Wales,on a farm possibly with a relative? Would love to find where in Wales, he never said exactly where he was, returned to family , later
