Hi There, Ezekiiel's parents were Alexander McMillan and Jean Johnstone.

By 1861 quite a few had married. Older brother William, a carpet weaver was living in Heckwondwike though later came to Aberdeen. Brother Alexander enlisted in the 71st Foot in March 1854 and served in Crimea, Malta and the East Indies.

David Report 9 Nov 2013 11:26

My Great Grandfather’s brother was Ezekiel McMillan, born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire c 1838/39. He appears in the 1841 census in Park St, Kilmarnock ( Esekiel) and 1851 ( Ezechial or Eziehial) and then disappears off the radar. No Scottish death record post 1855 under any variation of his name or a marriage record. Dilemma is wondering if he died between 1851 and 1855 (pre death records), or if he moved, possibly joined the forces as one of his brothers did, or emigrated as one of his sisters much later did. With such an unusual name he should be trackable, but have not found any lead. Any help welcomed.
