HI there folks,
just wondering if someone maybe able to help out.

trying to find out where my mother was from 1923 - 1935

Laura Terrell born November 1923 in Glasgow, she told us she left abt 3 years of age.

Found her mother and father in 1935 in Treverton road London which is near to where I live now.
can anyone tell me where she was in between those dates.
Her parents were
Ellen Miller 1900 and Benjamkin Charles Terrell 1899.
I found her parents alone in 1935, where were the children?
did mother laura go into a home?

If we can find out this information it may unlock a mystery.

thanking you
ps if there is any more info pls ask me..

thankx again

Up until the 1970s, someone would have to be 21 years old to appear on the electoral registers. So the children may have been living with the family - they just wouldn't have been listed.

A possible, perhaps?

London, England, Electoral Registers, 1832-1965
about Benjamin Charles Terroll

Name:
Benjamin Charles Terroll

Year:1926
County or Borough:Tower Hamlets
Ward or Division/Constituency:Stepney
Street Address:12 JOHNS HILL-CimM

No Ellen, but women didn't get full voting until 1928, I believe.

Am I right in assuming that you found the details for her parents in 1935 on an electoral register?

If so, the children would not show on there even if they were living with them as they would be too young to vote !

hi Andy that may well be our granpa.

mm I guess it makes it harder for us when the kids are young and not included in the roll

I know that my Uncle Eugene was born in 1926 same area... before he went off to war I guess he was still living same place....
do you have any ideas of how I can find more info?

thanks for all your help folks.
