Mary Anne was my grandmother and from what I can establish, 1911 Census, she was born in Dublin City c 1880. Her mother was born in Co Down. |

Irish records are very patchy and hard to research, and Mary Anne McAlister is a very common name, which doesn't help. |

For ref. - It would have helped if you had said they lived in Antrim. |

My father was John P McKenna and he was born at 148 Albert Street Belfast Co Antrim. He married my mother, Catherine Maguire in Dublin in 1929 and died there in 1949 from MS. Forthy years later my wife was diagnosed with MS and although she has lived the last 35 years of her life from her wheelchair she is still here to see the sun rise or hear the rain and thanks the good Lord daily. |

The 1911 census shows that my grandmother, Mary Anne McKenna nee McAlister was aged 31 which gives a birth year of 1880 and so I wonder if the Mary Anne McAlister baptised in Dublin in 1875 is the same person. |
