Hi Guys,

I am trying to locate George Dickson born c1760 Edinburgh and Ann or Agnes Manners c1755. Not sure if dates are accurate but they did marry in 1799 at The Tolbooth Kirk Parish, Edinburgh. Anne's father was listed as John Manners "day labourer" They had 8 children (2 daughters and 6 sons) James, Margaret, Marion, John, George,Robert, William and Cornelius. The last two were born in St Cuthberts, and Cornelius died in St Cuthberts in 1837. He was listed as "coach painter" and a couple of his brothers had the same occupation (maybe they all did, but cant find them) George Dickson snr was a gentleman's servant and also listed as coach man, so perhaps they were all working for the same person???

Cornelius was born c1794 so the family were living in St Cuthberts then!

There were at least 14 deaths in sp for a George Dickson in St Cuthberts and the same for Ann Dickson?

Is there any other way of finding when the parents died??? and who their parents were.??

Thanks

Nancy
