hi all
seem to have hit a wall with john hollman the one i have is shown in 1841 census
born 1801 kent then in 1851 transcribed as Hallman born 1798 lingield he married martha lamb in 1831 in greenwich but that is as ar as i can go been to lingield library shows only one 1797 although there are hollmans in lingfield and surrounding areas still no joy he died in 1861 in greenwich any one possibly help thanks

Remember that ages over 15 were rounded down to the nearest 5 or 0 on the 1841 census so his age showing as 40 could have been 40-44 making him born 1797-1801.

A tree on Ancestry just gives his birth as abt. 1801, Greenwich, no parents listed. It does however have parents of Martha as William Lamb & Lucy Dixon and a brother of Martha, Ebenezer lamb.

thanks i have found the parents of martha lamb and got a copy of marriage entry from 1831 his son albert charles was the father of albert edward my dads dad
who died in 1934 hence not much known i have tried varying spelling and dates as LL not as common he was listed as a carpenter on alberts marriage cert 1879

got copies of some baptisms of ancestry library and on henry augustus baptism 1846 john is again listed as carpenter and i may be mistaken but it looks
something like carpenter of privilege i,ve googled it no joy wonder if anyone could
